Frequently asked questions
Vybe is an out-of-network provider. While we don’t bill insurance directly, many of our clients receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. We provide superbills upon request and can walk you through the process.
We also work with third-party services that can help simplify insurance reimbursement by submitting claims on your behalf, making it easier to use your benefits without the paperwork.
The quickest way to get started is by filling out your contact information. We will send you a form to complete for your first session and begin. If you feel you would prefer a 15 minute consultation call, please click below.
Yes—confidentiality is a core part of therapy. The only exceptions are legal or safety-related situations (like risk of harm to self or others, or court-ordered disclosures). We’ll review this together at your first session & it will be part of a continued discussion.
As for minors,
No, Vybe does not prescribe medication. If you’re interested in psychiatric care, we can refer you to a trusted provider and collaborate as part of your treatment plan.
You can reach us through the secure client portal, or by phone/email for scheduling. Boundaries and availability will be discussed in your first session.
We were wondering the same thing at first!
A superbill is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Every plan is different, so we recommend checking with your provider to understand your mental health coverage. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to guide you through next steps or connect you with services that help manage the process.
Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist and share what’s bringing you in. This is called the "initial intake assessment". During this meeting we will review relevant background information and your current concerns.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many clients come to grow, reflect, prevent burnout, or strengthen relationships. Therapy is for anyone ready to feel more aligned, present, or supported.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service and can be managed easily through our secure client portal.
We do not offer ESA letters as a standalone service. In some cases, if an established client has been actively engaged in treatment and the request is clinically appropriate, we may be able to provide documentation. These decisions are made thoughtfully and on a case-by-case basis.
After your initial intake assessment we will begin creating your goals, answer your questions, and begin exploring what is limiting you or your child. Building a therapeutic relationship is essential to create trust, the time this takes varies on every individual.
Yes! With your written permission, we’re happy to collaborate with teachers, school counselors, pediatricians, or other providers involved in your care or your child’s care. We believe that communication and consistency across environments can be key to meaningful progress, especially for children and teens.
As licensed clinicians, we’re trained in a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS),Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Adlerian Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Our overall style is rooted in a holistic and humanistic framework, AKA we see each client as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. Therapy at Vybe is always collaborative, and we tailor each experience by integrating the tools, modalities, and support systems that work best for you or your child.
We specialize in a wide range of areas, including: ADHD, Autism, Adoption, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Body Positivity, Caregiver Support, Child & Teen Counseling, Codependency, Coping Skills, Divorce, Family Conflict, Life Transitions, Peer Relationships, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Self-Harming, Stress, Suicidal Ideation, Teen Violence, Trauma & PTSD, Video Game Addiction, Impulse Control Disorders, Mood Disorders, Mental Health, Sexuality, and LGBTQ+ Affirming Support.
That depends on your goals and situation. Some clients notice shifts within a few sessions, while deeper or more complex concerns take time. Our goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered from the start. Once we determine your goals, we may have a better estimate on timelines.
Honestly? Not much from a client’s point of view.
All of these are licensed mental health professionals who can provide therapy; the letters just reflect different training paths and state licensing boards.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
LPCC / LMHC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor / Mental Health Counselor): Trained in talk therapy, emotional regulation, and mental health diagnosis. These therapists often work with individuals and families on a wide range of concerns.
LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker): Also trained in therapy, with a strong focus on systems (like school, family, or community) and advocacy. LCSWs often bring a social justice lens to the work.
LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist): Specializes in relationships, communication patterns, and family dynamics. But they can also work with individuals — not just couples or families.
All of these professionals are qualified to help with things like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. What matters most is finding someone you feel safe with.
Yes, in fact they are our favorite! We use developmentally appropriate, creative, and relational approaches. We also involve parents as part of the process, depending on the child’s age and therapeutic goals.
This is actually one of the things that sets Vybe apart. A core part of our team’s background is working with clients who didn’t choose therapy, whether court-mandated, referred by schools, or simply unsure about the process. We specialize in supporting kids, teens, and families who feel hesitant, guarded, or skeptical.
We approach resistance with patience, creativity, and zero pressure. Through play, humor, or quiet connection, we focus on building trust over time. Helping reluctant clients feel safe, respected, and seen is something we genuinely love AND it’s become a true sweet spot in the way we work.
FYI- this does require more time to buidl that trust, so patience is key.
